What fees and charges could I face?

If you don’t make your overdraft repayments, you could face additional fees and charges. That’s why it’s important to talk to us early.  These fees and charges are:

  • Referral fee: €5 per item (up to a maximum of €15 per day). This is charged if a cheque or debit is presented for payment and paid, but there is not enough money (cleared funds) in the account to make the payment. The referral fee will be applied on that day or the next business day.
  • Interest rate: 12% a year, plus the authorised overdraft rate of 15% variable. This is 1% per month more than the current interest rate on your account. Interest is charged daily and is added to your account quarterly.
  • Unpaid items: €10 will be charged to your current account for each unpaid Direct Debit, Standing Order and Cheque.

How can I avoid these fees and charges?

You can avoid these fees and charges by keeping your repayments up to date. If you’re having difficulties with your repayments, please call our dedicated Arrears Support team. We want to help. Please call 1800 855 010 or +353 21 601 3800 (from abroad). Lines are open Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 6pm (excluding Bank Holidays).
