What will happen next?

In the coming weeks, you will receive a letter and booklet from us confirming your Business Direct loan transfer to PTSB. This letter will include important information about your rates, payment instructions and your new Account Number(s) IBAN, which will help you manage your Business Loan with us with ease.

Important actions you may need to take

The next few weeks will be an important time for you as you familiarise yourself with PTSB. In the coming weeks, you will receive a letter and booklet from us confirming your Business Direct loan transfer to PTSB.

Please ensure that you read your letter carefully to understand how this move affects you and what actions you may need to take and retain both the letter and booklet for future reference.

In the meantime, we’ve summarised below some important actions you will need to take to ensure your loan is repaid in accordance with its repayment schedule and to avoid arrears.

What action do you need to take

Repayments for your loan

Your payment instruction has been impacted as a result of the Loan transfer to PTSB. It is important to take action immediately, if you have not already done so, to redirect your payment instruction for your Loan to PTSB as otherwise, you may miss scheduled payments and this may adversely impact your credit record.

Payment by Direct Debit from a non-PTSB Current Account: You need to take action to set up your new direct debit. Please complete a new mandate form labelled Former Ulster Bank SME Direct Debit Mandate’. Also view our Ulster bank Business Direct Customer FAQs.

Scheduled Repayments from a PTSB Current Account: You need to take action to set up your new direct debit. Please complete the mandate form labelled ‘Internal Repayment Order Mandate’.

Moving your everyday Business Banking

It is important to note that any Ulster Bank transactional accounts you may have (business or personal current account, savings, deposit, and credit card accounts) have not transferred with your Loan. Should you wish to open a Business Current Account, PTSB can give you the option of applying online. More information on applying online.

Warning: If you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating, which may limit your ability to access credit, a hire- purchase agreement, a consumer-hire agreement or a BNPL agreement in the future.

Warning: The entire amount that you have borrowed will still be outstanding at the end of the interest-only period.

Warning: There is no guarantee that the proceeds of the insurance policy will be sufficient to repay the loan in full when it becomes due for repayment.

Missed payment data will be reported to the Central Credit Register (CCR), as required by law, in the legitimate interests of PTSB and the CCR. This may affect your future ability to borrow.
