Permanent tsb use Verified by Visa / Visa Secure. All you need to do is ensure that your mobile number registered with permanent tsb is up to date and that you are registered for Open24 or Business24 online banking, as we may send you a One Time Passcode and request 3 digits of your 6 digit personal access number to complete some online transactions with participating merchants.
Note: If you have registered a device for online banking and you have enabled push notifications this facility will also be used for your online shopping transactions.
Verified by Visa /Visa Secure is an online security service that can be used when making purchases with participating online retailers and makes online shopping more secure.
No, all you need to do is ensure that your mobile number registered with Permanent tsb is up to date, and register for Open24/Business24 online banking and create a Personal Access Number (PAN). This will allow you to complete Strong Customer Authentication when required.
There are two methods of authentication, depending on whether you have registered your device with our mobile banking apps or not.
Non App Customers:
Please note, for our app customers you may be required to complete authentication via the non app method at times.
One Time Passcode is a random 6 Digit number we send to your registered mobile number. Please note that One Time Passcodes will be sent to you by SMS from sender PTSB.
One Time Passcode is valid for 5 minutes.
The registered mobile number is a mobile number which is linked to your Permanent tsb customer profile. We will show the last 4 digits of your mobile number on the Verified by Visa / Visa Secure screen when we send you the One Time Passcode. If we do not have a valid mobile number registered for you, please contact us on 0818 50 24 24 or +353 1 2124101.
If your mobile number is up to date and you have not received your one time passcode please contact us on 0818 50 24 24 or +353 1 2124101.
For Open24 customers, you can check this by logging on to Open24 online banking and check under “Personal Settings”.
For Busines24 customer, you can check this by logging on to Business24 online banking and clicking your account profile name beside the logout button.
