Please note, the 3 Month Online Fixed Term deposit account option is no longer available to new customers. Any existing 3 Month Online Fixed Term accounts will mature into a similar term on maturity.

Important Information
  •  After the term ends, you can get your savings and interest, minus DIRT (Deposit Interest Retention Tax), if applicable.
  • You can withdraw your money up to 14 calendar days from investment date, without charge.
  • Annual Equivalent Rate (AER) illustrates what the interest would be if interest was paid and compounded each year. Our AER calculation assumes that the account is held for a year and that the interest rate remains constant.

Easy online savings 

  • The minimum balance for an Online fixed term account is €5,000. There is no maximum.
  • This is an online account so you need to use Open24 to access your account.

What happens after the term?

  • Online Fixed Term accounts will mature into a similar term on maturity and you have 14 days to lodge or withdraw funds and/or close your account.
  • After the term your account will automatically roll over into a similar term at the rate available at that time unless you instruct us otherwise.
  • If you don’t wish for your funds to be reinvested you will need to close the account, details of how to do this are outlined below.

Get access to your money

On maturity you can make withdrawals by transferring your money to your Current Account, Notice Account or your Demand Account. Please note to withdraw the full balance in your account you need to send a written instruction to Deposit Services at the address below. Online Fixed Term accounts can also be closed in the branch with the required ID and address verification.

If you don’t have any of these types of account you can make a withdrawal by writing to the address below with instructions on where to transfer the funds to or you have the option to receive a cheque in the post.

In exceptional circumstances a partial or full withdrawal may be made before the end of the term however an early withdrawal charge will apply. You can do this by contacting PTSB Deposit Services at the address above or by attending your local branch.
