If you plan to drive, check if your current driving license is valid in Ireland or if you need to exchange it. 

Collect important documents and store them safely for travel and future registrations.

If your family is moving with you, research schools and childcare options.

If you have pets, check the rules for bringing animals into Ireland and prepare all required documentation.

Confirm your accommodation details and check how you can get proof of address after you arrive. 

Apply for your Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) as soon as possible. Ask for the official PPS confirmation letter once your application is approved. This letter can be used as proof of address when opening an Irish bank account.

If you plan to work, register on on Revenue.ie to set up your tax correctly and avoid paying emergency tax.
