This application is for overdraft limit increases only and does not allow for a new overdraft application. If you are an existing PTSB customer and wish to apply for a new overdraft, please apply in-app or you can call us on 0818 50 24 24 or +353 1 212 4084 (from abroad) and we will complete your application with you over the phone.
There is no change to the rates and charges of your existing credit card if the limit is increased. Details of rates, fees, terms and conditions are available here.
This form has the following sections and should take 5-10 minutes to complete:
PTSB are obliged under the Credit Reporting Act 2013 to collect and verify your PPSN. PTSB will collect your PPSN for all credit applications of €500 or greater. Please note we cannot accept your Public Services Card to verify your PPSN.
If we already have your PPSN on file, you will not have to provide it to us again.
Please be advised that Permanent TSB Plc is required by law to collect certain information from our customers. If you have a tax residency/or multiple tax residencies outside Ireland or the United States of America, permanent tsb is required to report certain information in respect of Current, Deposit and Visa accounts that you hold with us to Revenue: name, address, date of birth, place of birth, account number, jurisdiction(s) of residence, Tax Identification Number (“TIN”), account balance and interest payments. Revenue will report this data to the tax authorities of each relevant participating country.
NOTICE: Under the credit reporting act 2013 lenders are required to provide personal and credit information for credit applications and credit agreements of €500 and above to the Central Credit Register (CCR). This information will be held on the CCR and may be used by other lenders when making decisions on your credit applications and credit agreements.
Under the Central Banks Consumer Protection Code we are not permitted to offer you a product you cannot afford. Therefore in advance of granting you a credit product we will check your credit history against the CCR. This information supports a full and accurate assessment of your ability to repay. In addition, we require by law to ensure the CCR is kept up to date and we report personal and credit information to the CCR. Further information in relation to our disclosure of your personal data to the CCR can be found in our data protection notice.
In accordance with our obligations under the European Communities Distance Marketing of Consumer Financial Services Regulations, we will send you some information in the post. This information will include details about the bank, its regulatory status, the law governing your agreement, the main business of the Bank, your right to withdraw from the agreement, the complaints process and what happens in relation to condition changes and on non-payment
Assume you have a credit limit on your card of €1,500.
You use your full limit to make a single card purchase immediately after receiving your card, and you repay the €1,500 in 12 equal monthly instalments of €125 plus any interest charged for that month at a purchase interest rate of 16.50% (variable), 22.53% (variable) APR.
The total amount that you will pay back will be €1,664.06, which includes Government stamp duty of €30.00 and interest of €134.06.
Warning: If you do not meet the repayments on your credit agreement, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit report, which may limit your ability to access credit in the future

I confirm that the details which I have submitted to you are correct to the best of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the Conditions of Use (as set out in the Visa Credit Card Terms & Conditions amended from time to time and which includes details of the charges applicable). I understand that the Bank reserve the right to decline this application without giving a reason and without entering into correspondence, save in the case where my application falls because of a credit reference agency consultation. I acknowledge that if I do not pay my repayments on time, interest will accrue at the account rate. The Bank may cancel the card and seek its return and sue me for the balance due together with its costs. Any judgement obtained by the Bank may be enforced against any asset or property I own.
