Gambling Block is a new feature available in your PTSB App that allows you to block your Credit or Debit Card from being used for gambling-related transactions. It’s designed to give you more control over your spending and managing your financial wellbeing.
Once enabled, your card will now stop transactions related to gambling from being processed.
If you decide to turn Gambling Block off, you can do this in the app where you enabled the feature. It requires 48 hours notice for the block to be removed. This notice is designed to support customers with problem gambling, allowing them time for reflection before the block is removed.
After 48-hours, Gambling Block will be lifted from your card automatically. You can then enable the Gambling Block at any time.
No, there is no way to change the 48 hour notice period.

Gambling Block must be turned on for each credit and debit card. If you have multiple cards with PTSB, you’ll need to activate the block separately for each one in the PTSB App.
Gambling Block is available to all PTSB personal customers.
Please note: PTSB Business Banking accounts/customers are not eligible at this time for Gambling Block on business Debit Cards.
No, Gambling Block remains in place until you manually de-activate the feature within the PTSB App. There will then be a 48-hour delay or cooling off period before gambling related transactions can resume on that Credit or Debit Card.
