We want to make Android app customers aware of an issue that may affect their debit card Daily Spending Limit.

Following a recent app update, an issue was identified that may have resulted in some customers Daily Spending Limit being set to €0 unintentionally. If your Daily Spending Limit is set to €0, debit card transactions will be declined and repeated attempts to make transactions may result in your card being temporarily blocked.

If you have recently set or updated your Daily Spending Limit, please take a moment to check and ensure it's set correctly for your needs.

What to do

Please check your current Daily Spending Limit and update it to your preferred amount using the steps below.

How to check and update your Daily Spending Limit

  1. Log in to the PTSB app
  2. Go to Cards and select your personal Visa Debit Card
  3. Select Daily Spending Limit
  4. Enter the amount you want (from €0 to €5,000)
  5. Confirm the change (you’ll be asked to complete Strong Customer Authentication)
