Unblock my Debit Card through the PTSB App

If you enter your PIN incorrectly three times, your card will be blocked. This means you won't be able to make any further transactions where entering your PIN is required. To unblock your Debit Card via the PTSB App, follow these steps: 

  1. Log in to the PTSB App by entering 3 digits of your Personal Access Number (PAN).
  2. Select "Cards" on the bottom menu.
  3. Select "View Card PIN".
  4. Select "Continue".
  5. Enter 3 digits from your Personal Access Number (PAN).
  6. Press and hold the "Hold to view PIN" button to reveal your PIN. This will automatically unblock your card.

If you continue to experience issues with your PIN after unblocking it in the app, you can use the PIN Unlock option at a PTSB ATM, or perform a cash withdrawal at any ATM.

Alternatively, you can order a PIN reminder for your Visa Credit Card, Visa Debit Card, Student or Deposit Card PIN via Open24 Online Banking

 

Unblock my Debit Card through Open24 Online Banking

  1. Log in to Open24 Online Banking on a desktop, laptop or tablet.
  2. Select Other Services on the left-hand navigation bar.
  3. Select Do More.
  4. Select Order a PIN reminder. This will unblock your card.
  5. Once completed you will receive your PIN reminder in the post in 3 to 5 working days.

 

If a PIN reminder to unblock a Visa Debit Card or Deposit Card is requested before 5pm today, you will be able to use the card again after midnight tonight, only if the PIN is unblocked between 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. If the card is unblocked after 6pm on a Friday it will unblock on Monday at midnight.
