Business Plan

A Business Plan is a valuable document to any business, whether you are starting out, or looking to grow your business. It should present a clear picture of the key strengths and weaknesses of your business, along with the opportunities and challenges the business may be likely to face in the future.

Contents of Your Business Plan

A Business Plan should normally include the following information.

  • Details and background of the Business and its products/services
  • Ownership and structure of the business
  • Management Team of the business and their background
  • Track record and business performance
  • Competitor analysis
  • Financial projections
  • Future strategy
  • Funding requirements
  • Relevant strategic and functional components of the business

The above list is not exhaustive, but would typically be the minimum information expected to be contained in any Business Plan.

Business Customers – which documents are acceptable to verify your details for Central Credit Register?

  • If you are a Sole Trader or Partnership you can provide your PPSN or TRN and have this information verified. Sole traders may also supply a Tax Clearance Certificate from the Revenue Commissioners to verify their PPSN.
  • If you are a company registered with the Companies Registration Office (CRO) we will automatically check and verify your CRO Number, name of your business and registered address as part of our credit application process. You should not have to provide us with any additional documentation to verify this information.
  • Companies will also need to provide their TRN and have this information verified. To verify this number, they may supply a Tax Clearance Certificate or some other correspondence from the Revenue Commissioners.
  • If you are another business customer type (e.g. an incorporated society/charity, club or association) you will need to provide us with a document which confirms either your Business Registration Number, Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) or TRN (whichever is applicable) along with the name of your business and address. This document may be a Certificate of Incorporation, Tax Clearance Certificate or any other tax reference document issued by the Revenue Commissioners or other relevant tax authority in respect of that tax type (in the case of a TRN).

Note: All incorporated entities must also have registered their beneficial ownership information in the Central Register of Beneficial Ownership of Companies and Industrial and Provident Societies*

A company cannot be on boarded unless they have entered their beneficial ownership detail on the Central Register here.
