Permanent TSB has been awarded with the Investors in Diversity Gold accreditation for its programme to improve the equality, diversity and inclusiveness of its workforce. The award from the Irish Centre for Diversity is Ireland’s premier Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) accreditation and Permanent TSB is just the 12th company to receive a Gold award.
The Investors in Diversity Gold accreditation recognises the significant focus and commitment Permanent TSB has made in ensuring that EDI is embedded across the organisation and follows on from the Bank’s receipt of Bronze accreditation in 2021 and Silver in 2022.
As part of the comprehensive assessment process, the Bank provided evidence of various EDI initiatives, including its progress towards achieving the Bank’s target of 50:50 gender diversity at leadership levels. Permanent TSB has already achieved improved gender balance at Board level, with Board gender composition now being 55% female and 45% male.
The Bank was also recognised for its approach towards measuring colleague feedback in respect of EDI and taking meaningful actions in response to same, including the impact and influence of its 4 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) - Prism (LGBTQ+), Better Balance (Gender Balance), LiveWell (Health and Wellbeing) and DiCE (Diversity, Inclusion, Culture, Ethnicity) - who play a role in policy development and are represented on the bank’s People Experience Council.
