A very important fraud reminder

To keep you safe please read the important information below for general guidance on what we will never do:

  • SMS / Test Messages (Smishing): While permanent tsb do use SMS, we will NEVER send you an SMS asking you to click a link for any reason.
  • Phone Calls (Vishing):  permanent tsb staff will NEVER make unsolicited calls asking you for Security Details like Codes or Personal Access Numbers for any reason.
  • Social Media:  permanent tsb will NEVER use sponsored Ads on social media websites for cash rewards, website tours or for items related to our email name change.

We have a lot of important information available on our website to keep you safe.

Important Information

Remember, permanent tsb will never call, email or text you asking for your account details, your Open24 number, Internet Password, Personal Access Number (PAN), your Visa Card CVV number or one time password. If you ever get an unsolicited phone call, email, text message or pop-up asking for any of these please contact us on 0818 50 24 24 or +353 1 212 4101.

Your Bank will never:

  • Ask for your full PIN/PAN
  • Ask you for any online banking passwords over the phone, via email or text message.
  • Ask you to email or text personal or banking information.
  • Send an email with a link to a page which asks you to enter your online banking log-in details.
  • Send a text message with a link to a page which asks you to enter your online banking log-in.
  • Ask you to authorise or transfer funds to another account for security.
  • Ask you to cancel a payment by entering OTP or complete cancel request on your PTSB app.
  • Ask you to carry out a test transaction online.
  • Provide banking services through anything other than the bank's official apps.

If in doubt:

  • STOP
  • THINK
  • CALL your financial institution on the number on the Debit/Credit Card issued by your Bank immediately.
