21 May 2025
On 21 May, the world comes together to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that shape our societies, workplaces, and communities. At PTSB, this day is a timely reminder of something we at DICE (Diversity, Inclusion, Culture, Ethnicity) believe deeply: our diversity is our strength, and every culture, background, and story adds a unique stitch to the fabric of who we are.
DiCE ERG (Employee Resource Group) has created a strong and meaningful impact through relentless dedication, innovative initiatives, and unwavering commitment to creating an environment where every colleague feels safe, valued, heard, and empowered.
With 70+ nationalities in PTSB and growing, the DiCE ERG has been instrumental in organising a variety of events that celebrate the rich tapestry of our colleagues. From cultural celebrations to awareness campaigns, they have successfully created opportunities for colleagues to connect and learn from each other, as well as created a platform where employees were able to freely speak about any DEI concerns and share their cultural / faith beliefs and requirements for diet / on-site in the office. Inclusivity is at the forefront and creating a safe and united workplace for everyone is the ambition behind the agenda of each and the campaign and initiative. One of the most significant ongoing initiatives, the Say My Name Campaign, subtly encouraged individuals to take pride in their heritage and feel safe in expressing themselves. The simple act of including phonetics in email signatures and updating pronunciation on LinkedIn profiles served as a symbolic gesture of mutual respect and understanding.
Today, we wish to spotlight colleagues from those 70+ nationalities and share reflections across our workplace by asking them ‘’How has being part of a diverse workplace influenced your personal or professional growth?’’
Shweta Mardi - (Say My Name: SHWAY-tah), IAF Compliance Specialist
‘‘PTSB is known for its culture and diversity, but to be honest, I was a bit nervous when I first joined PTSB, because this was my first job ever. I was not aware of the corporate work culture and was a bit anxious yet excited at the same time. True to their beliefs, the people in PTSB have been very welcoming and considerate regarding colleagues from different backgrounds. I am proud to be a part of PTSB and happy to be one of the representatives for the values it stands for. I have met so many people from diverse backgrounds and I always look forward to knowing and learning from varied experience and perspectives.’’

This exposure to diverse experiences has made me more empathetic and understanding towards others, fostering stronger interpersonal relationships. Navigating a multicultural environment has improved my ability to adapt to different situations and communicate effectively with people from various backgrounds.
Professionally, working in a diverse workplace has sparked creativity and innovation through collaboration with a diverse team, as varied perspectives often lead to unique solutions and ideas. It has also honed my communication skills, making me more adept at conveying ideas clearly and respectfully. Leading a diverse team has enhanced my leadership abilities, teaching me the importance of inclusivity and the value of diverse contributions.’’
