Belong To - LGBTQ+ Youth Ireland is Ireland’s national organisation supporting LGBTQ+ young people and their families. They provide advice, information, crisis counselling and family supports, alongside safe spaces for young people to connect and access professional help. Their programmes in schools and youth services promote inclusion and create welcoming environments nationwide. Through advocacy, they work with and for LGBTQ+ youth to influence policy and legislation, ensuring equality and acceptance for all.
HUGG is the national suicide bereavement organisation. They provide support groups led by trained volunteers with lived experience of suicide loss, a compassionate telephone support line, grief resources, events and webinars. Focused on suicide postvention – supporting people after suicide – HUGG helps people navigate life after loss, lowering the risk of further harm and offering connection, understanding and hope when it is needed most.
North Wall Community Development Project (NWCDP) is a community-based organisation working with residents of Dublin’s North Wall and surrounding areas. They support social inclusion, equality and active citizenship through community development, education, employment supports and wellbeing initiatives. NWCDP collaborates with local partners to address disadvantage, strengthen voices, and create positive, sustainable change for individuals, families and the wider community. Their work is rooted in participation, respect and local leadership development.
Spinal Injuries Ireland (SII) has been supporting people affected by spinal cord injury across Ireland for decades, ensuring that no one faces this life-changing journey alone. They provide tailored, essential services that help individuals and families rebuild their lives, regain independence, and stay connected to their communities. From psychological resilience and peer support to practical guidance, they are committed to delivering measurable improvements in quality of life for everyone they serve.
St. Francis Hospice has been caring for the North Dublin community since 1989, providing free, specialist palliative care to patients and families at their Raheny and Blanchardstown facilities. Serving nearly 700,000 people across North Dublin and neighbouring counties, they are committed to delivering compassionate, innovative care that meets the needs of a growing and ageing population. Their work is made possible by the generosity of their community and the dedication of their staff and volunteers.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) is the leading dementia-specific service provider in Ireland. The ASI works across the country in the heart of local communities, providing dementia-specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. As a national non-profit organisation, they advocate, empower, and champion the rights of people living with dementia and their communities to quality support and services.
Cavan Autism Parents Support (CAPS) is a community-based charity supporting autistic children, young people, adults and their families across Cavan and surrounding areas. Founded by parents, they provide practical supports, inclusive activities and a safe, understanding space where autistic individuals can thrive. Through Saturday Clubs, sensory workshops, social and life-skills activities and seasonal camps, they promote inclusion, build confidence and celebrate individuality. As demand grows, they work with families and the community to ensure no one feels isolated.
ICARE (Inishowen Children’s Autism Related Education) supports autistic individuals and their families across Inishowen. Founded by parents in 2000, they provide tailored services including after-school and holiday programmes, Sonas Youth Club for teens, and iADULT day service for adults. Their dedicated centre in Buncrana offers a safe, inclusive space for learning and social connection. Through advocacy, respite, and community engagement, they promote inclusion and empower autistic individuals to thrive. With continued support, they aim to expand these life-changing services.
Louth Cerebral Palsy supports children, adults, and families across County Louth who are living with cerebral palsy. Through local fundraising and community support, they help provide vital equipment, therapies, and services that make a meaningful difference to everyday life. Their aim is to improve quality of life, promote independence, and ensure families have access to essential supports within their own community.
Since 2007, SOSAD Ireland (Save our Sons and Daughters) have been supporting individuals and families throughout Ireland who are struggling with mental health challenges. They provide confidential and compassionate support through their low cost professional counselling service with a strong focus on suicide prevention through early intervention. They also provide round the clock support via their 24 hour freephone helpline, their work is rooted in the belief that timely, accessible support saves lives.

Cancer Connect is a community service providing free, confidential, door-to-door transport for cancer patients across Cork to hospitals including CUH, Bon Secours, Mercy and South Infirmary. Established in 2011 and run by a voluntary board with 600 volunteer drivers, the service removes travel stress so patients can focus on treatment. Operating daily for radiotherapy, chemotherapy and related appointments, Cancer Connect has completed more than 60,000 journeys to date, ensuring vital access to care for those who need it most.
Childhood Cancer Ireland is a national charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer, survivors and their families, throughout their cancer experience. As a parent and survivor-led charity, they understand how this diagnosis pulls the rug from under the entire family without warning. When that happens, Childhood Cancer Ireland is there, giving families the strength and support they need, every step of the way. They do this work without Government funding, relying on the generosity of public and corporate donors.
Clare Haven Services supports women and children affected by domestic abuse and coercive control. They provide year-round emergency refuge with six family units, two transitional houses and dedicated children’s facilities, including play and sensory rooms. Their services include a 24-hour confidential helpline, one-to-one support clinics across Clare, court accompaniment, and prevention programmes such as Insights for Mothers, TLC Kidz and peer support groups. They also deliver educational talks to schools, community groups and businesses to raise awareness and promote safety.
Good Shepherd Cork is an independent charity supporting women, children and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They provide emergency, short-term and long-term accommodation alongside practical, educational and therapeutic supports to address issues such as domestic violence, mental health and addiction. Their services include Edel House in Cork City, family hubs in Cork and Clonakilty, and B&B outreach. Each year, they work with nearly 800 women and children to break the cycle of homelessness.
Little Blue Heroes Foundation, established in 2017, is a volunteer-led charity with one paid staff supporting families with children with serious illnesses across Ireland. Independent of An Garda Síochána and funded solely by donations, they provide practical and financial assistance, hospital care packs, and family holidays through their Haven 4 Heroes programme. They also grant children’s wishes to become Honorary Gardaí, creating positive engagement and moments of joy, empowering children and supporting families during the most challenging times.
